College MAP (Mentoring for Access and Persistence), EY's signature volunteer program in education, launched in 2009. Denver was one of the pilot cities for the program, and Denver mentors have had a big impact at Martin Luther King Jr. Early College Preparatory High School ever since the launch. The goal of our mentorship program is to empower underserved high schools so that they can gain access to college and succeed in higher education. Through the group-mentoring model, multiple mentors provide insight and guidance to the students during the Access program. EY professionals work with high school students to build the skills that will help them persist in completing their post-secondary goals. After graduating from high school, College MAP Collegians enter the Persistence stage of the program. They participate in periodic in-person gatherings as well as monthly webinars led by EY professionals on topics of immediate relevance for collegians.

We recently just expanded our program to have Sophomore, Junior and Senior classes. Our college access and readiness program is very unique and like no other program of its kind. Our mentors are extremely dedicated and go above and behind what is asked of them. All of our mentors are heavily involved in the program because they want to be. In the past years we have helped place students at University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Penn State, and Bloomsburg, to name a few. We take pride in getting our students into the programs of their choice and helping ensure they complete their course curriculum in the allotted time.
